House Physician
Leonard H. Lazarus, M.D., is the Medical Director at The White Sand of La Jolla, where he sees patients three days a week. He specializes in gerontology and has been board-certified in internal medicine since 1983, when he began practicing in La Jolla. He has been a part of the White Sands staff for more than six years.
Dr. Lazarus graduated from the University of Cape Town, South Africa in 1977. He served a rotating internship in surgery and obstetrics and gynecology at Groote Schuur Hospital in South Africa. As a resident, he specialized in internal medicine at Somerset Hospital in South Africa and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
