Southern California Presbyterian Homes (SCPH) established The White Sands of La Jolla in 1956 after recognizing a unique opportunity for beachfront retirement living.
Today, SCPH serves more than 3,100 residents in California and the western United States with:
- 6 continuing care retirement communities
- 2 residential care facilities for the elderly
- 4 assisted-living communities
- 2 home care programs
- 23 affordable housing communities
SCPH is a nationally respected, nonprofit organization dedicated to the improvement and enrichment of retirement living. The nondenominational organization has no legal or financial ties to the Presbyterian Church, and services are available to mature adults regardless of race, color, religion or national origin.
SCPH is also dedicated to community enrichment through volunteer programs for its employees and residents.
